Our dance troupe is part of Lobo Del Mar, (which is our family's Activity and Entertainment Company based out of Hilo, Hawaii).
Bellydance has been a part of our family for three generations now. Carrol Buntin (our mother/grandmother/great-grandmother) was looking for a way to get back into shape after having eleven (yes, that's right, ELEVEN!) children. Taking a suggsetion from dad she tried a bellydance class while we were living in Alaska. Mom fell in love with the dance form and brought her daughters along to class. What was a fun way for the family to stay in shape has since grown into a professional dance company called 'Fuego de Gitana'. Besides Bellydance our company also performs Polynesian Dance styles such as Tahitian Dance and Hula. We also perform Flamenco and Irish Step Dancing in accompaniment to our family's musical band, The Dogwatch.
